The BeCommerce Award

The webshop that receives the highest score from the jury and the most public votes, may claim the one and only BeCommerce Award of 2022!

Who can participate?

All webshops that sell products and/or services in the Belgian market through e-commerce activities, as well as suppliers active in the e-commerce sector, may participate in the competition.

Until when can I register?

Participants can register for the Awards until Monday, 5 September 2022. The deadline for submission of cases is Monday 12 September 2022.

Do you have to be a member of BeCommerce to participate?

No! Non-members are also more than welcome. Even more: webshops that are not yet a member of BeCommerce and participate in the competition, get one year free membership from the day of registration. The BeCommerce membership is the first step of the process to obtain the BeCommerce trustmark. The costs associated with the external audit for obtaining the trustmark are borne by the company concerned.

How and when is the assessment done?

ASSESSMENT OF THE JURY

The assessment of the submitted files is done by an independent jury. The jury consists of several e-commerce and retail experts. The jury assesses the submissions of the participating online shops based on extensive criteria. Afterwards, the jury selects three nominees per category. The latter three are the contenders for the prize.

VOTE OF THE PUBLIC

Via an online system, anyone can vote for their favourite in each category from Wednesday 20 July 2022 to Monday 12 September 2022. In this context, no advantage or opportunity may be offered by participating companies in the call for votes. The assessment of the public vote is made by calculating a coefficient based on the traffic on a particular website and the number of votes cast.

Where will the Awards take place?

The 17th edition of the BeCommerce Awards will take place on Thursday 20 October 2022 in Tour & Taxis. The perfect moment to enjoy a dazzling show together with the Belgian e-commerce community, get to know people from the sector better and celebrate with the winners. Tickets for the gala evening can also be purchased separately and are not linked to an Award registration.
